Bertrand Peret was born in France, in 1971. He graduated in 1996 from the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts de Bordeaux, France. His artistical research is centered around a reflexion on painting (canvas painting, wall painting, graffiti). Through his painting process, he thinks about images’ status and new technologies’ influence over art. His paintings partly imply a lonely practice but Bertrand Peret also grounds his life on meetings and exchange. He develops the idea of an « Art Total » blurring the frontiers between art and life, creating ephemeral and utopian moments. With Sandrine Llouquet, he created Wonderful, an extension of their work and artistic conceptions. He is also a founding member of the artists collective Mogas Station based in Vietnam, including French, German, Japanese, American and Vietnamese artists.
He lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
